Research into the double bass - tools, traditions, histories, potentials.

The work has been performed and recorded acoustically, most notably during a 4 month residency at Cafe OTO Project Space (in collaboration with drawings by Daniel Blumberg) and on the record ‘Double Bass’.
For ‘Round Trip’, focus moved to the recording process itself, and how that can open possibilities for the instrument through a pliable perspective.
‘open, fixed’ and live outings around this time explored how captured and analysed sound could have real-time implications on a composed, reactive environment.

In recent years, much of this work has been channeled into Tennota, as the investigation develops along digital lines.
